There is nothing more satisfying than knowing you can make a tremendous difference to someone’s quality of life. Volunteers at the Alzheimer’s Resource Center feel that way every time they walk through our doors.
Whether you are drawn to recreational activities in our Adult Day program, enjoy planning special events, or enjoy gardening, poetry, music or art, the gift or your time makes the Resource Center a better place each and every time you visit.
A few years ago, a volunteer had a passion for butterflies and she used her knowledge of them to create a butterfly garden at the Resource Center. That garden has grown over the years and, today, it is a place of soothing and peaceful beauty for butterflies, birds and people.
The journey of Alzheimer’s disease is a long and often difficult road for the family and friends of someone with this illness. As a volunteer, you can make the journey a little easier for someone and we welcome people from all professions and walks of life to share the journey with us.
