Our Guiding Principles

We are your partners in the care of individuals with dementia. We work hard to help people reach their highest level of cognitive and physical health. Working empathically, we:

• Recognize that each person is able to experience moments of joy, and have meaningful relationships with their caregivers;

• Work every day to understand each individual’s needs, preferences and desires;

• Communicate openly and frequently, and share ongoing, thorough assessments with families and all of our dementia care team; and,

• Have patience, creativity and flexibility, and readily adapt new approaches as the disease progresses.
